2015; France, Southern Rhone; Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Clairette
Les Pallieres is one of the most celebrated, traditional Gigondas estates, and it sits nestled below the Dentelles de Montmirail. The vines average 60 to 100 years, and are a mix of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Clairette. All the grapes are sustainably farmed, and are destemmed and then vinified with native yeasts (in cement tanks) before being aged in wood. These wines are never fined or filtered and are packed with ripe fruit and age admirably.
